Melbourne, April 19. Observatory officials have obtained photographs of Halley's comet.

A good view of the comet was obtained from Nelson shortly after 5 o'clock thijj mdrning, a glass giving fair definition. Mr F. G. Gibbs, honorary director of the Atkinson Observatory, focussed the telescope upon the visitor , which was examined by a number of interested observers.
