THE FITZROY EXPLOSION.

At the inquest oh Cralv.je.a grocer, the victim of the Fitzroy explosion, Mrs Crabtree deposed that she had no knowledge that her husband contemplated any felony. She had asked him at the hospital to tell her the truth', hut it" was doubtful if he had done bo.. In his dying statement he declared that Shaw had bought the stuff and set it afire. Shaw was practically a partner with her husband. The witness added that her husband had bought dummy stock some time, ago, consisting of empty jam tins and bars of wooden soap, and placed them in the w Joked shop. Another witness deposed -to selling Crabtree four gallons each of methylated spirits ahd : benzine five days before the fire. .
