The Nikau makes a trip to and from Motueka to-day, leaving here at noon and Motueka on the return at 3.dU p.m. She sails for Wellington direct at nine o'clock this evening. The Kaitoa arrived at Westport on Saturday afternoon after • a boisterous passage. Weather permitting^e will leave there for Greymouth to-day. The Kennedy, bound from Nelson to Greymouth, arrived off Westport early on Saturday morning in a partially disabled" condition, owing to one ot her main steampipes having been carried away. • The Alexander was at the time also off Westport awaiting more moderate weather to cross the bar,and she took the Kennedy in tow. Ihe weather, bowever, becam© worse, and it was deemed advisable to return to Nelson rather than risk crossing the Weitport bar.
