SEEN AT AUCKLAND.

• [United Press Association.] Auckland, April 15. Mr Stevenson,.' F.E.A.S., reports having seen Halley's comet about five o'clock this morning. It was seen through the clouds, and the increasing twilight made the observation difficult. Mr Stevenson anticipates that it will be a more conspicuous object in another week, as it is now rapidly approaching us. There is a possibility ho thinks, of the comet's tail reaching to Venus about May 2nd, as the'eomet will apparently pass over that planet. The comet is to the east of the planet Venus at the present time^
