Labour Council meeting the speakers included a number of successiul candidates. The speeches were jubilant in tone, and contemplated a term of office for the Labour party. Mr Watson, who expressed himself overjoyed "at the unexpectedly . overwhelming victory, attributed the "slump in fusion stock" to the revolt of the majority against the policy of ''marking time" aim mere negation. He predicted that Labour would receive the : majority a.t the forthcoming Haw South Wales selections.
