NEW MATERNITY HOME.
OPENING AT NAPIER; [United Press Association.] . Napier, April 14. Sir Joseph Ward and Lady Ward were present this afternoon at the opening <A a new maternity .home that is being established on the, lines of the St Helen's homes. The Government provided the site and subsidised £ for £ the thousand pounds collected in the district. The institution starts thoroughly furnished, equipped and staffed, free of debt. Lady Ward performed the formal opening ceremony, dud speeches were made by the Premier, the Hon Jas Carroll, and' JDri VaYmtine. :l To-night Sir Joseph and Lady' Ward | were entertained at a public social.
