FIRE AT INVERCARGILL.

[UNiXKDfPKKSS Association.} • Invercargill, A£rii 14. , A fire was discovered at iJie Bank of New Zealand at 2.45 this . morning by two employees, who were sleeping on the premises, and who were awakened by the smoke. The flames were promptly extinguished^ . The| damage amounted to only £50. An examination proved that under the ' fireplace there is only a thin Jayer of concrete resting on wood, and the heat penetrating ignited the wood work, which must have smouldered for hours before the flames broke through the f100r...
