DEATH OF A PIONEER SETTLER.

Mra Ann Anderson, the widow of the late Mr David Anderson; senr. died at the residence of heir daughter, Mrs Annie Anderson, in Willis street, this morning. The deceased was born in America 95 years ago, and camo out to New Zealand with her husband in the barque Pilgrim in 1849. Mr Anderson settled in Wellington, and built up a large and prosperous business here. His death occurred a number of years ago. For the past two years Mrs Anderson had been confined to her bed. She has left a family of four sons (Messrs, David, Edward, Afilan -and Job Ancjerson), and four daughters (Mesdames John Ballance, S. S. Griffiths, A. Anderson, and Foreman).
