On Wednesday afternoon a third match was played between the Presidents of the Nelson and Maitai Clubs, when the former was successful, giving; him two wins out of three matches played. The teams were : Nolson : de Castro, Dickson, Tasker, Lucas, President (s) 26; Maitai: Harford, Duir gan, Karsteii, Hockey, President (s)

Club matches were played as follows: —

Senior Championship : Houlker beat Sharp; Rutherford beat Moyes; Moyes beat Houlker.^ Lyell Cup : Tasker beat de Castro ; Stiles beat Gould. The present drawing closes on Saturday. Tho next pennant match will be played on Wednesday next, between Nelson and Maitai, on the Nelson green. Efforts are being made to get a rink or two across to Takaka -uhis month. The Bayites took a very keen interest in the Eastei- tournament by sending four rinks, and it is hoped tho local bowlers will be able to return the visit.
