Christchurch, March 28. The weather conditions were not at Mfavourable for the_ opening of the Canterbury Jockey Club'B autumn meeting.,. Heavy rain fell overnight, and there was a thick drizzle all the morning, and during the early j>ar£ of the afternoon, then clearing off.
