The attendance prior to lunch was small, but improved in. the afternoon. Armstrong-won the toss, and decided to bat. tic sent in Mayne and Warne, the former opening to Brice, and Bennett bowling with the wind. Brice clean bowled Mayne, the score reading 18-1— 13.
