THE ESCAPED PRISONER

FUnited Peess Association.] Pelmerston North, March 27. The police are still out in search of Powelka, but the feeling in thia district is that ho is still in Wellington. A Linton settler reported that Powelka had slept in a woolshed, and was seen going early in the morning to town. After much trouble to the police it was proved to be a dairy factory employee who wont, out early to post a letter. A similar story from Longburn led to a wild goose chase today.
