Wellington, March 23. Ex-Constable William McDermitt, already waiting trial on seven charges of forgery, was 'further charged to-day with forgery in two cases. One of the cases concerned an alleged attempt to procure money in the name of J A. Earmer, trainer of W. WidArcll'B horses, for the purposes of nominating two of Bidwell's horses at an Australian meeting. Accused was committed for trial.
