WEATHER FORECAST.

Wellington, March 22. The following is the B*v. D. 0 Bate' a summary and forecast: — _ Cooler weather has been experienced generally. Rain has apparently fallen steadily northward of Kawhia and Gisborne, and cold and showery weather has been experienced in the extreme south, but elsewhere the condifcions havo improved. A high pressure prevails, and moderate to strong southerly winds have been experienced. The present indications are for strong south easterly winds northward of East Cape and Kawhia with cloudy and wet weather elsewhere. Expect variable winds with fair weather. Tho barometer will probably fall slowly in the south for the westerly low pressure due on Thursday.
