Wellington, March 21. The following is tho Rev. D. C Bate' 8 summary and forecast: — A westerly area of low pressure passed in tho south on Sunday with strong westerly winds, followed hy southerlies with rain in most parts and snow on the higher levels in the extreme south. At presant indications are for strong southerly winds with cool and showery weather generally. Ram wall probably be heavy .in p^;ts of the North Island. A westerly iow pressure is duet in tlhe south on or about Thursday.
