IN THE CITY.
On Saturday evening there was a. large crowd in the city, who remained in the vicinity of the Masonic Hotel in anticipation of the arrival of His Excellency, it having been rumoured that he would not reach Ne.son until the evening. The Nelson Garrison Band which was stationed on the balcony of the hotel, played a number of really fine selections, which were much appreciated by the public.
