NEW SOUTH WALES STATISTICS.

Sydney, Feb. 26. Figures prepared by the State Statistician show that JNew South Wales had a birthrate as iiigh as 43.9 a 1000 in 1864, but it has now fallen to 26.8. Australia is very low on the world's list in birth-rate, although the low death-rate more than counter, balances the birth-rate.
