NEW DAIRY FACTORY PROPOSED

[United Tbess Association.] Ashburton, Feb 26. A meeting attended, by over one hundred farmers from all parts of tJie Ashburton County resolved to-day r that it was desirable to erect a dairy j factory in a central position, also ? creameries. The factory is to be work- v cd on the co-operative principle. A v committee! of thirty was set up to c canvas for financial support and a sufficient milk supply. It is anticipat- n cd sufficient support will be forthcoming to the factory.

The story of a lucky find in an old p musical box comes from Paris. The instrument was bought by an elderly man named Jules Lcroux for a mere song at a second-hand dealer's with the idea of amusing his grandchildren. Then tho musical box ceased to be musical, and the other night the old man took it to pieces to .see* what was the matter.
