The English Football Association has in hand a surplus of over £13,000. Consternation was caused in the Ilu Lafayette, Paris, when an elderly man who had fallen under a motor'bus was found to have been scalped. He reassured the spectators by demanding his wig. When a domestic servant was put under X rays at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, it was found that her Heart was 4£ inches out of its proper position, and that her shoulder blades numbered four instead of two.
