CHARGES OF THEFT.

At the Police Court to-day, Martlia Buson. an attractive young woman, was charged with a series of thefts from private houses, hotels, and private hotels of goods of a total value of £54. Throe of the tJief ts were alleged to have been committed at Wood's Hotel, the Coffee Palace, and the City Hotel. Watches, bracelets, rings, blouses, and " petticoats all served her turn. She actually slept in one private house in the absence of the tenants, who were, away , on a .holiday, and she was caught ttiere by a young son of the owner. There were eight such charges against her, and she pleaded guilty to all of them. She was committed to the Supreme ""Court for sentence. When arrested she was wearing some of the stolen jewellery—- others she had pawned. Another charge of theft is pending against the accused. \
