ALLEGED LIBEL.
DAMAGES OF°£2ooo SOUGHT. [United Pbess Association.] Wellington, Feb. 17. A writ has been served on tho "New Zealand Times," at the instance of Mr T. H. Lowry, of Hawke's Bay, claiming £2000 damages for alleged libel in connection with a report which, appeared in the "Times" describing the race for the Now Zealand Cup. ■ The case is set down for hearing at Napier in Juno.
