WEATHER FORECAST.

Wellington, Feb. 17. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bate's summary- and forecast: — Fine and pleasant weather has been experienced south of Kawhia and Napier, and it cleared up this afternoon in the far north. The barometer has fallen steadily in the south, but has . continued high generally. Present indications are for freshening northerly winds and mild and changeable weather northward of Now Plymouth and Napier, and northerly winds veering to westerly elsewhere; with squally and unsettled weather in the extreme south, but probably fair elsewhere. A low pressure area is due to pass in the south on, Sunday.
