"Moondyne, the Gold King," the sensational drama to be produced on Monday night at the Theatre Royal by the Taylor-Carrington Dramatic Company is a play founded on fact and written round a number of incidents in the life of the once famous outlaw of whom Boyle- O'Reilly has written so much. Moondyne was transported to West Australia for a crime of which he was innocent, and after a remarkably chequered career died a few years ago in Perth. His many daring escapes. from prison, his life among the natives, together with the fact that he was the first white man to discover gold in Western Australiai furnish excellent material for stage purposes, and give many opportunities for scenic displays of the most realistic description.
