WOOL SALE AT NAPIER.
[United Press Association.]
Napier, Feb. 17
The oonchidmg wool sale of tlie season was held in Napier $°-day, when GSOO bales were catalogued. The bulk of the fleece wool was made up of more or less faulty back country sorts, with a proportion of fairly good medium and coarse crossbreds and stragglers' fleece. There was a fair selection of bright attractive lambs' wool, but, a number of the lots were seedy and inferior. As compared with the last sale the prices ..showed very little change. I'airly good medium and -coarse fleeces were occasionally a turn dearer, and good pieces, of which there were jrery lew, showed Id to id advance. Lambs' wool was "again in strong demand, and' sold\ extremely well, seedy lots, also meeting a good market. The total number of bales offered in Napier this season is 43,250, as against 26,350 last season,
