(Received Feb 15, 9.15 p.m.) Paris, Feb 15
Dr Charcot completed th© map to Adelaide Island, and surveyed a new land 120 miles long before wintering at Petermann Island. During tho second Antarctic summer he explored the South Shetlands, and then went to South Alexander the First Land. Early in the voyage collisions with bergs caused a leak it was impossible to repair, and two tons of water an hour entered the ship, necessitating pumping throughout the voyage. The crew suffered from scurvy and heart trouble.
