AMUSEMENTS.

EOYAL STANDARD PICTURES. At the Druids' Hall this half week's bill is . as good as ever. The star Pathe, "A Street Waif," in addition to being a splendid study of a bleak winter, has a pathetic story running through it that appeals to the iiouse, and tho applause is frequent and hearty. Other fine dramatic stories without words are: — "By a Woman's Wit," "The Two Sons," and "0.Q.0" or "Saved by Wireless," a splendidly told story of heroism at sea ; the collision of two passenger steamers in mid Atlantic j the land station receiving the message from the sinking liner, another steamer picks up the message and makes all haste to the reseue, pick'ing up the damaged steamers in a heavy fog by means of the searchlight, and the rescue of'the passengers is all shown — altogether a most instructive film full of thrilling interest. "From Yokohama to Kyoto" is a travel picture of life in Japan ; "The Magis Albums," one of those clever trick films of Pathe-Freres ; "Charley's Mother-in-law," "An Ingenious Revenge," "The Talisman," and "The Aero Cab and Vacuum Provider" are clever and amusing merrymakers. The same programme will be. shown to-night and Tuesday, the bi-weekly change taking -place on Wednesday.
