UNVEILED AT ST. PAUL'S.

EULOGY BY THE DUKE OF ARGYLL. [Pbess Assooiation-^Copybioht.] London, Feb. 10. Two hundred persons were present at the unveiling of the memorial panel to the late Right Hon R. J. Seddon, Premier of Now Zealand, in the crypt of St Paul's Cathedral, including Mrs Morice, Mr. Seddon 1 s daughter, the Mayor of St. Helens, Mr. T. Glover, M.P. for St. Helens, Lord Strathcona, High Commissioner for Canada, Mr. J. McCall, Agent-General for Tasmania, the Countess of Ranfurly. Major Robinson, and many New Zeaianders. Prior to the unveiling tho Duko of Argyll read Sir Joseph Ward's and Mrs. Seddon's cablegrams, and delivered an eloquent eulogy. He said that the memorial had been erected to mark the affection for the man and respect for tho statesman. Following Sir Geo. Grey's brave advicet, Mr. Seddon became the most trusted leader in all Australasia, and he gave no uncertain voice when the call came to prove the .union of the Empire and New Zealand. He had responded nobly, Bending ten contingents to South Africa. His spirit still guided New Zealand's councils, and she was foremost in her desire to be represented in our fleets. Now, in the centre, of the Empire Mr. Seddon had served, they honoured his memory gratefully for his record of services to King and country. They, revered his example and deplored their loss in his death. The Hon. W. Hall-Jones. High Commissioner for New Zealand, on behalf of the people and Government ot New Zealand, committed the memorial to the charge of the Dean and Chapter of St. Paul's Cathedral. Archdeacon Sinclair, in accepting the charge, said there had been added a treasure to the historical associations of the Cathedral and the country.
