PROPOSED COLONIAL REPRESENTATION.
AUSTRALIAN OPINIONS. Melbourne, Feb. 11. Mr. Deakin, Federal Premier, in reply to the "Mail's" inquiry of his opinion on the proposal that there should ho colonial representation in the House of Lords, says that he prefers not to criticise the scheme as it is vague. Mr Fisher, Labour leader, cabled that he thought. any attempt to drag the dominions into a constitutional dispute between the Commons and the Lords WOUld be, uhstatesmanhke and mischievous.
