A CUSTOMS CASE.

WARNING TO INDENT AGENTS. [United Press Association.] Auckland, Feb. 10. At the Police Court to-day, Hugh Douglas Guthrie, an indent agent, with headquarters at Punedin, was charged that on November 23rd, at Dunedin, he made a false invoice. The defendant admitted the offence, but satisfied the Court that though he was supplied with the invoices by an English firm, they were not sent at his request. The law admits no such; excuse, but the Court thought that the case would be met by the mini* mum penalty of £25.
