A MIRACULOUS ESCAPE.
London, Feb. 6. A man in the Meadow coUiery, Staffordshire, pushed a tub into a shaft under the mistaken impression that the cage was at the top. He fell with the tub 249 feet into the vate,T; but he was rescued uninjured.
