THE BRITISH NAVY.
NEW FIRST LORD'S POLICY. [United Press association.] (Received Feb. 7, 0.50 a.m.) London, Feb. 6. The "Daily Mail" says that Admiral Sir A. K. Wilson's policy differs from that of Lord Fisher. He is convinced that the need of the Navy is not so much Dreadnoughts as armoured cruisers. He is also not disposed to continue wholesale scrapping. Lord; Fisher bequeathed him a programme for the coming year, including only four Dreadnoughts. The "Daily Mail" adds that at the end of 1912 Britain will have. 20 Dreadnoughts and 44 pre-Dread-noughts, compared with Germany's 13 Dreadnoughts and 21 pre-Dread-noughts.
