MINISTER DECLINES TO RECOMMEND POSTPONEMENT.
The resolutions v/ere communicated to the Minister for the Interior (Hon. D. Buddo),.who scut the following *e--1 ply to Mr Ralph Catley, secretary of the Nelson Acclimatisation Society, on. Saturday morning :— " "Referriiig to; representations mado by your Society 1 , I have .to inform you that as at present advised, I am not prepared to recommend His Excellency to declare, any district to be exempt . from' the provisions of section 26 of the Animals Protection Act, 1908, which fixed a close season for native and imported game for 1910, and every third year thereafter.— D. Buddo." i .
