Dr. Findlay, Minister of Justice, speaking of tho pressure of worJs vjon the Judges, said that temporary arrangements would be made to Sieve th! pressure. At Auckland there was a little dimculty just now, but the Chief Justice would he able to resume his duties in the middle ot March. Meanwhile the Judges were endeavouring he thought, successfully, to meet the pressure, which was due chiefly to the fact that m the first six weeks of the year two. of the Judges were absent. Mr. Justice bim would be able to give a great deal of assistance while not engaged in tlie Arbitration Court. Dr. Findlay recognised that Mr. Justice Edwards was one of the hardest worked Judges being in a district where there was a good deal of criminal work.
