WILKINSON— BEST.
(From "The Colonist," Nov. 23.) At St. Alban's Church, Appleby, on the 16th inst, Miss Constanco Best, j sixth daughter of Air and Airs John Best, of Appleby, was married to Air Oliver Clinton Wilkinson, of Motueka, son of Air Arthur J. Wilkinson, of Stanley Brook. The officiating clergyman was the vicar, the Rev A. J. Carr, and there was a large assemblage of relatives and friends of the parties, the church being prettily decorated by the girl friends of the bride. The bride's dress was of white silk and she wore the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas, watsonia, and asparagus fern made by Airs. Gardner of Richmond. The bridesmaids were Misses Evelyn, ISeJst, sister of the bride, anel Doliy Wilkinson, sister of the bridegroom. They were attired in wdiite silk with hats to match a ltd carried horse shoo bouquets of white sweet poas. The bridegroom was attended by Messrs Leslie Best and Harry Everett. The gift of the bridegroom to the bride was an amethyst and pearl necklet; that of the bride to the groom a silver mounted walking stick; and the bridesmaids wore bracelets presented by the bridegroom. The happy couple werei the recipients of many presents, including several cheques. Tho wedding inarch was played by Miss Martha ChaUies. After tlie ceremony tho guests were entertained at the residence of tlie bride's parents, and Air and Airs Wilkinson then left on their honeymoon, the bride's going away dress being a blue costume with hat to match.
