The first case was an appeal by the Cooks' and Stewards' Union against tiie. Union Steamship Company ivith reference ;to the payment of overtime to a messrooni steward, who worked' on a vessel arriving in a roadstead port on. Sunday, , or a holiday, and leaving again Same day . The appeal was upheld. In- the second, the Tailors' Union, v. Kirkcaldie and Staines, the question was whether the firm had distributed cei^» tain work on the "ieam system." The Magistrate held they had iiot,and the Arbitration Cour held -that the matter was one of fact, and that the decision was final. The Union's appeal therefore was dismissed. ,
