A Blenlieini .Press. Association message states that the Hon G. Fowlds, the Minister for Education, was entertained at a banquet by -the Mayor of Blenlieini oil Friday night. Besides visiting- various parts of the district he I inspected the hospital and technical school. . ' - M.W.^ro H. J. Williams (Past Grand Master), and it.AY. l>ro li. Fletcher (Deputy Grand Master) of the New Zealand Grand Lodge of Freemasons, have accepted an invitation given by the Victory Lodge, to assist in tho installation' ceremony to-night week. On Saturday morning, the Hon J. A. Milldr, Minister for Railways, passed through Nelson by the Mapourika, ,crt route to Wellington from the West Coast, where he had been on a tour, of inspection . ■ He was accompanied by Mr . Ronayrie, General Manager of Railways, Mr Burnett, Engineer-in-chief, ancl Mr Holmes* -' Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department- It had been the ■intention of the Hon Mr Millar to travel to Nelson overland from Westport and to arrive in Nelson on bat-urday-night .and remain here • until Tuesday, but at the last minute .the nroEramme was -altered. mm ister for Railways will probably run across to Nelson at the end of the week.
