The present ; gloomy and humid conditions herald j a disturbance from the north, with I heavy rain in parts, and the Ant- • arctic disturbance, now crossing Tas- j mania, will shortly follow in its wake, I the former ' principally affecting the ' North Island, and the latter the South. The immediate prospect .is for strong northerly winds, with mild temperature and rain north of- New Plymouth and. Napier, and for south- j east winds elsewhere, probably with ; rain and fog.
