TRAMWAY EMPLOYEES' DISPUTE.
A SATTISFACTORY-SETTLEMENT.

Christchurch,:-April 21. - A conference between representatives of the Tramway Board jand of the. Tramway Employees' Union held last night to discuss' matters .connected with the conditions of labour and rates of pay. These matters have been before the Conciliation Commissioner, Mr J. Triggs, for some time, and have been the subject of discussion before him acting as ah arbitrator in an informal manner. ; Last night at the conference between the t\^o parties the recommendationa . of the Conciliation Commissioner were submitted, and were adopted, the agreement arrived at being.satisfactory to both parties.. The matter was a complicates' one; and has taken. : a month to bring to a. satisfactory conclusion.
