Benjamin Mores, a boardinghouse keeper, who died in the Hospital from injuries caused .by a blow -with a bottle, evidence went to show that Mores got out of bed' to" investigate a disturbance in the house. He had charged Joseph Griffiths with naving brought a loafer on the premises. Griffiths thereupon seized a large, square bottle and threw it at Mores, striking .him a violent blow on the head. Griffiths, when asked why lie had.done this", replied that he was sorry, he -"was in a .passion. The jury returned a verdjej of manslaughter against Griffiths, who is in; custody.
