Tlio chairman of the Foxton Harbour Board has telegraphed the promotors of the freezing works for Wairarapa and Manawatu that the board will give the company the site required for the freezing works at the Manawatu Heads, and render what further assistance it can. If , the Manawatu site is chosen it would mean that cargo boats could be loaded in .the same way as at Waitara, Wanganui, and Patea. It is contended that Eoxton would provide a most convenient site from the stockraisers' point of view — "Post." Messrs Bisley Bros, and Co. advertise the following sales: — Wednesday next, at 2.30 p.m., stock sale," Richmond yards, when a number of North Island and local horses will be offered • Thursday, 15th April, stock sale at Ihorpe; and on Friday, 16th, stock sale at Tapawera. Messrs Levien and Rollet announce that they will conduct an auction sale at the rooms of Mr A. Karsten Bridge street, at 2 p.m. next Wednesday. .
