ADDINGTON INQUIRY.
PUBLIC PROCEEDINGS CLOSED. [United Press Association.] Christchurch, March 30. ■ The Addington Workshops enquiry was resumed to-day. Mr Beattie answered a number of questions put by_ the Chairman. - Mr "Hampton, the representative or -the workmen addressed the Board.. •'H9 summarised the evidence, and hopel the enquiry" would "result in the complete vindication of the character of the men, and would lead to , improved facilities being provided, which would make the Addington Workshops tho leading ones in the Dominion. _ ■ Mr Beattie also addressed the Board, He stated that since 1900 the Addington Workshops had been; supplied with plant and machinery valued, at £30,761, also additions in buildings, Sosting about £10,000.
