WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY.

Wireless communication throughout the Australian squadron has reached a high state of perfection, as the result, of continued experiments. During the cruise of the flagship through New Zealand waters attempts were made to converse with Sydney, but wero not successful. Tho only way a connection was effected was through a "link" — a warship crossing the Tasman Sea. During the week, however, ■ the vessels of the squadron stationed in Hobson's Bay have despatched sovoral service messages and these have been easily received- in Sydney. The . naval people are of opinion that it is only '& matter of time when _ a complete service of "wireless" will be established between ships of the squadron at different ports. An excellent service was maintained the other night between H.M.S. Pyramus moored in Farm Cove and the flagship in Hobson's Bay. Lengthy service messages came through without a hitch, and.' were quickly transmitted. The atmospheric conditions, from a "wireless" enthusiast's point of view, wero ideal.
