DUCK LAYING COMPETITION.

Ghristchurch, March 27. A competition which promises to create more than the usual amount of interest is a duck egg laying competition at the "New Zealand Poultry I Journal's" institute at St.. Aiban's. The entries closed yesterday, and they total 240, a world's record. There will be half the number of birds to those competing at Lincohi College this year, .so that it will be irteresting to note how ducks compare with hens.
