[United Pbess Association.] 1 Reefton, March 28.The keenest interest was displayed in' the West: Coast : bands' competitions, which finished yesterday. Lieutenant Herd was the judge. In; the test piece competition, Westport came~ first with 97. points ; InangaMa, second, 95 .points; iGrey Battalion, third, 90 points. . The Grey Citizens' Band was last with 85 points. In the quickstep competition Grey Battalion . Band was' first, with }74 points for music, aiid 94j for drill,; Westport, second, 71 and 86; «Grey. Citizens', thirdj 69 and 84; and Ina--ngahvia last with 68 and 79. The contest was most successful in every respect. : : •.. '- '"-.'
