♦ " ■-. [United Pbess Association.]/ Wanganui, March 28V The annual meeting of the Wangi-, nui Rugby Union was held on Saturday evening. The report showed a fairly successful past season, with a slight decrease in the gate receipts. The following officers were elected: — President, Geo. Spriggens; Vice-Pre-sidents, J. Wesney, G. Simpson, and _ Dr.' Wall; Secretary, R. Dunkley; lieasurer, L. Craig; Committee, G. Thompson, A. Gray, L. Furrie, R. Bassett, B. Ashcroft, and E. Perrett-; Delegates to the New Zealand Rugby L : nion, L. Bassettand four others to be appointed later. Mr W. Empson resigned the office of Patron, arid he was unanimously elected a life member of the Union. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr J. Hyams ; for 16 years' service as the Wanganui delegate to the New Zealand Union, on hfe retirement from office. . ■ '
