A peculiar phenomenon in connection with a wireless telegraphy station ig the formation of light fogs, which seem to be acconnted for (says a science journal) by the fact that the ether motions produced by the sending station are utilised in electrifying the air^ "causing condensation or the invisible particles of water vapour into larger drops. There is at present a very good demand for New Zealand poultry for the London market. At the Government Poultry, Depot (says the Christchurch "Press 1 ') 600 bird are being put through weeklyjifor export, and the orders for the season will be well over 10,000. :
