In a swimming match at the Thorndo;! Baths to-night three competitors beat, the ; New Zealand record, of 64 4-sth sees over 100 yards, Roberts taking 62 4-sth sees, Rqnayne 63secs, and Healy 64secs. It is probable, however,; that these times wil. not be accepted as official, owing to the Baths being nine inches short of. fifty yards, so. that the ; actual distance covered was only- 995. yards; - In a match at the Te Aro Baths, T. C. Fryberg, swam 440 yards in.6mins Bsecs, equal to the New Zealand record.
