FIRE AT FEILDING.
Feilding, -March.2s. ■ A serious fire occurred about a mile from town this afternoon, when a dwelling house, 'the property of Mr L. M. Horrocks, one of the best residences in the locality , was. completely destroyed. Theipiano.and a few. articles of furniture were saved: ; The fire originated in the washhouse. A strong wind blew it -through the house her fore it could be extinguished. . The house .was only finished .two months ago.: Mr Horrocks. was married last, month, and his losses include a collection of valuable wedding presents. The insurance on the'house which cost over £1100. was £800, and there was no -insurance on the furniture, the owner intending to. take out a policy in a day or tw0..:.',. [. '
