VIEWS OF ADMIRAL BOSANQUET.

NO IMMEDIATE CAUSE FOR -, ALARM. . Received March 25 r 10.30 p.m. : Fremantle, March 2rj. Admiral Bosanquet, the new Governor of South Australia arrived by the Omrah. In an interview, ~he said that at the present moment there was no great fear of German complications He had not seen papers .dealing with tin crisis, but, speaking in a general way, Britain will keep building Dreadnoughts as fast as Germany. Both Mr Askuith and Mr McKenna have dis tmctly and repeatedly stated ■ that they will not allow the Navy to -fall behind the standard necessary for the protection of. the Empire. It was imposible to believe that there was much foundation for the alarmist reports that the naval standard would not be adequately maintained. He added :— 'There is no need for a panic such as described by the cables. J view the matter with no alarm. Of course Germany is getting richer and wants to extend her Empire, but I rely on the .repeated statements of Mr Asquith that Britain will keep ahead of German enterprise in shipping."
