Lady De Bathe is shortly to make her debut to the world as a novelist. Her ladyship, rbetter known as Mrs Langtry, has sold the right of the story to < a well known publishing house, and the work will make its appearance both in serial and book form. The title is "All at Sea." When Mr Keir Hardie was leaving the Labour Conference at Portsmouth (England) a man belonging to the artisan class approached the Labour leader and said: "My wife would very much like to kiss you." A woman thereupon came forward, threw her arms round Mr Hardies neck,and kissed him. . The' visit to Paris of a number of sailors from the American squadron, while passing through the Mediterranean, disclosed the fact that a number of young men of good family were playing at being able seamen on the ' ships of the squadron so as to enjoy a free trip round the world. Two of them who were staying at one of tho best hotel, admitted the fact to a reporter at Maxim's.
